1940’s Style Statement Brooch

This oversized brooch shows style influences from the costume jewellery of the 1940’s which, in turn, took their lead from jewels of previous eras and which were made using differing (more precious) materials. So, to this dramatic statement piece; depicting a branch with reeded silver leaves, blossom and 3 droplets, features a selection of large river pearls with dots of marcasite randomly sitting on the surface like raindrops glistening after a shower.
