Victorian Style Striker Link Albert Chain

**Freshwater pearl free with every egg purchase**

This double Albert neck chain, with 2 swivels and T. Bar, is available in a variety of lengths.

The Albert chain originated as a man’s accessory and was popularised by being worn by Queen Victoria’s husband Prince Albert (1819-1861). Gentlemen wore the chain draped across the front of their waistcoat, attached by a T.Bar threaded through the central button hole, and with a Vesta case, seal, pipe tamper etc. at either end, held by the swivel clasp. This Victorian Style ‘Striker’ link chain, so named as the flat link with rope style edges would have been used to strike a match light a smoker’s pipe.
